  Stop making random guesses! Peng Guan Ying’s success is definitely not based on backup support from behind.

In the entertainment circle, whenever an actor suddenly becomes popular, all kinds of groundless speculation will be rampant, and Peng Guan Ying is such a case. When he and Liu Yifei performed “The Tale of Rose” together, when he talked about acting as opposite partner with Liu Yi Fei at the promotional event, he looked unsatisfied and even revealed a hint of wanting to monopolize this precious cooperation experience. It was a true expression of feelings, but he never expected that it would stir up a small wave of public opinions.

In the drama, a large amount of kissing scenes made many viewers resentful. Many frankly said that it made them itch when watching it, and the resentment towards him had soared (since they wanted to replace him in performing those scenes instead). Some people even compared this hatred with the impressive Yin Zhi Ping back then. What’s more, some people have unfoundedly questioned whether he got the role of Zhuang Guo Dong because of money paving the road. However, those who are familiar with Peng Guan Ying’s journey of acting know that his achievements today are the result of years of hard work taking one step, one footprint at a time and relying on his own tireless efforts and rich accumulation of experience to break forth steadily.

Peng Guan Ying’s acting career was full of thorns from the beginning. Back in 2013, at the press conference of the TV drama series “The Sweet Burden”, a reporter’s unintentional question regarding him as a newcomer was like a sharp dagger that pierced his heart. At that time, he had actually been struggling in the entertainment circle for three years. In the three years since he first entered the entertainment industry, he ran around and struggled to find opportunities. Playing small roles and supporting roles became the norm in his life. What made him even more frustrated was that many of the scenes he had worked hard to shoot were eventually shelved, resulting in him not having a representative work to show off. Not only that, his tall stature of 1.92 meters became an obstacle to his acting career at some point. When he ran around the production teams to seek roles, he was often turned away and can’t enter the door because of his height.

However, in the field of modeling, Peng Guan Ying has a completely different experience. In 2006, when he was only 20 years old, he revealed his outstanding talent in the New Silk Road Model Contest and won the championship in Jilin. Since then, with his outstanding appearance, he has quickly become a favorite in the eyes of advertisers, shot a large number of advertisements, and been active on the catwalks of major fashion shows. His modeling career was bright; however, Peng Guan Ying was not interested in this. With a deeper desire for performing arts, the young man firmly chose to apply for the Beijing Film Academy. Fortunately, he was successfully admitted and became classmates with Gao Ye and Zhu Yi Long, starting his professional learning journey in the field of performing arts.

After graduating from Beijing Film Academy, Peng Guan Ying was looking forward to making a name for himself in the entertainment industry, but reality dealt him a heavy blow. Even after playing the role of Du Yi in “Naked Wedding“, he still failed to make much of a splash in the entertainment industry. It was not until 2013 that he signed an agency contract with Hunan Mango TV and starred in two melodramatic idol dramas, “Because Love Is So Beautiful” and “Because Love Has Miracles“, that his fame began to rise.

However, the entertainment industry was changing rapidly, and as the audience’s preferences continue to change, he soon fell into silence again. During that time, he did not give up and continued to participate in various works such as urban romance dramas, life dramas, and costume dramas. Although his acting skills were remarkable, he never ushered in the explosion point of his career and remained in a tepid state (warm but not hot).

The turning point came in 2020, when he played Feng Xiao Sheng in “The Confidence” (“Under the Sun“), and finally ushered in the highlight of his career. The fascinating character of Feng Xiao Sheng has an extremely complex personality. He is evil to the extreme, but in some subtle aspects he reveals a little goodness and honesty that is hard to detect. Peng Guan Ying portrayed this character vividly and lifelike with his superb acting skills. For example, in the drama, when Feng Xiao Sheng realized that Ke Ying had deceived him, the tear that quietly slipped from the corner of his eye perfectly interpreted the character’s inner anger of being betrayed and the despair of being unable to love, which moved countless audiences and won their love and sympathy. It was this role which allowed him to successfully emerge and reveal his outstanding talent in the entertainment industry and become well-known by more people.

In the recently popular “The Tale of Rose“, Peng Guan Ying has once again become the focus of public discussion. The audience complained that there were too many kissing scenes in the drama and also teased that when he played Zhuang Guo Dong, it seemed as if he was possessed by Feng Xiao Sheng, and his expression was too fierce. However, in fact, a careful analysis of these two roles shows that although both are set to be in love but not get it, Feng Xiao Sheng will use extreme means of threats to keep his lover, while Zhuang Guo Dong chooses to heal his wounds alone. The entirely different handling methods just exhibit Peng Guan Ying’s solid acting skills and foundation. He can flexibly switch between different roles and portray unique characteristics of the character image.

Although playing the type of role of a scumbag can easily incur criticism from the audience and may even form a stereotype, Peng Guan Ying always sticks to his acting philosophy. He expressed that actors should remain pure when creating a role and only need to consider how to better present the role to the audience so that the role can be seen and understood by more people.

Now, with the popularity of the role of Zhuang Guo Dong, Peng Guan Ying has also successfully attracted more people’s attention, moving forward steadily on the road of acting and heading towards higher goals.

Tệ hơn nữa, một số người còn vô căn cứ đặt câu hỏi rằng liệu anh có được vai Trang Quốc Đống là nhờ vào tiền??? Tuy nhiên, những ai hiểu rõ về sự nghiệp diễn xuất của Bành Quán Anh đều biết rằng, thành tựu ngày hôm nay của anh là kết quả của nhiều năm làm việc nỗ lực và chăm chỉ, tích lũy kinh nghiệm.

Bước ngoặt đến với anh vào năm 2020, khi anh vào vai Phong Tiêu Thanh trong phim “Dưới Ánh Mặt Trời”, cuối cùng cũng mở ra thời điểm đỉnh cao trong sự nghiệp của mình. Nhân vật Phong Tiêu Thanh có tính cách vô cùng phức tạp, cực kỳ độc ác, nhưng lại ẩn chứa một chút nhân hậu trong một số chi tiết tinh tế. Với khả năng diễn xuất tuyệt vời của mình, Bành Quán Anh đã thổi hồn vào nhân vật này và khắc họa một cách hoàn hảo khiến nó trở nên sống động và chân thực. Ví dụ: trong phim khi Phong Tiêu Thanh nhận ra Kha Oánh đã lừa dối mình, những giọt nước mắt lặng lẽ rơi xuống từ khóe mắt đã diễn tả hoàn hảo nỗi tức giận bên trong của nhân vật khi bị phản bội và nỗi tuyệt vọng khi không thể có được tình yêu mà anh mong muốn, khiến vô số khán giả cảm động và giành được tình yêu cùng sự đồng cảm của họ. Chính vai diễn này đã giúp anh thành công nổi tiếng trong ngành giải trí và được nhiều người biết đến hơn.

Trong bộ phim truyền hình ăn khách gần đây “Câu chuyện hoa hồng”, Bành Quán Anh một lần nữa trở thành tâm điểm bàn tán của công chúng. Khán giả phàn nàn rằng phim có quá nhiều cảnh hôn, còn nói đùa rằng khi anh vào vai Trang Quốc Đống trông giống như anh bị Phong Tiêu Thanh nhập hồn, biểu cảm quá dữ tợn. Nhưng trên thực tế, nếu chúng ta phân tích kỹ lưỡng hai nhân vật này, mặc dù cả hai đều ở trong bối cảnh tình yêu đơn phương, Phong Tiêu Thanh sẽ dùng thủ đoạn cực đoan để giữ người yêu, còn Trang Quốc Đống lại chọn cách tự chữa lành vết thương cho mình. Cách xử lý các tình huống hoàn toàn khác biệt chỉ cho thấy kỹ năng diễn xuất vững chắc của Bành Quán Anh. Anh có thể linh hoạt chuyển đổi giữa các vai diễn khác nhau và tạo nên những nhân vật độc đáo.

Mặc dù việc vào vai một Tra nam dễ bị khán giả chỉ trích và thậm chí có thể tạo thành một khuôn mẫu, Bành Quán Anh vẫn luôn kiên trì với triết lý diễn xuất của mình. Anh cho biết diễn viên phải giữ được sự trong sáng khi sáng tạo nên một vai diễn và chỉ cần cân nhắc làm thế nào để thể hiện vai diễn tốt hơn đến với khán giả khiến vai diễn có thể được nhiều người nhìn nhận và hiểu hơn.
